Seed Heads & Flower Bowls

In my ceramics, I seek to explore the organic beauty of the natural world. My recent work began as a lockdown project inspired by seedheads and has since evolved into a collection of bowl forms that depict the different stages of a bloom’s life—from tightly closed buds to fully open blossoms.

I am captivated by the contrast of colors and textures that nature offers, which is reflected in my work. This current body of work is mainly raku fired and features pastel crackle glazes combined with metallic lustre, set against areas of unglazed black clay.
